Accounting Assistant

Darlene works in AEM’s accounting division, where she processes paperwork for several departments within the company. Work in the accounting department requires acute attention to detail and the ability to work independently, which is precisely why she excels in this position.

Darlene started with AEM in 2003 as a receptionist. An opening in the accounting department saw her take on the accounting assistant role, in which she has thrived ever since. Darlene is most satisfied with her work when she successfully processes accounts receivable and accounts payable for the company by the end of each week.

Although her work is largely independent, the community at AEM has been a positive factor in Darlene’s day-to-day life and one of the things she enjoys most about her job.

 

“I just enjoy the fact that I have close relations with most people here. It feels comfortable to come into work.”

 

Darlene sees great value in professionals who are dedicated to their work and efficient at it. She believes in maintaining an open mind to new ideas that can improve her work processes as well as the processes of the company as a whole.

When she’s not at work, Darlene enjoys spending time with family and friends and being surrounded by nature.
