Obsolescence Notices
This webpage is intended to provide an update and guidance information on support and upgrade options associated with AEM’s obsolescence of the part numbers associated with our ‘legacy’ PA Systems. These announcments are due to component availability and the ever-increasing cost to manufacture these ‘legacy’ products.
AEM has issued obsolescence notification letters for the following products:
- Legacy PA amplifier products (PA110, PA220, PA250, PA700 products) to aircraft OEMs and to our distribution network in 2019.
- Legacy PA system products (AA22 controllers, TS-series speakers, and VR33 power converters) to aircraft OEMs and to our distribution network in 2024.
What products are affected by the obsolescence notices?
AEM has issued obsolescence notifications for the PA110-xxx, PA220-xxx, PA250-xxx, PA700-001, AA22-xxx, TS100WR, TW200WR, TS9x, and VR33-xxx.
Final orders for the PA110-xxx, PA220-xxx, PA250-xxx and PA700-xxx amplifiers were accepted up until 30 June 2021 for delivery by 31 December 2021. Product repairs and support will be available until 31 December 2031.
Final orders for the AA22-xxx, TS100WR, TW200WR, TS9x, and VR33-xxx. are being accepted up until 30 June 2025 for delivery by 19 December 2025. Product repairs and support will be available until 31 December 2031.
